Why your monitoring dashboard won't catch it

Most performance monitoring is built to catch faults: a string that drops out, an inverter that trips, a panel that stops responding. Soiling isn't a fault. It's a gradual curve, not a cliff, and gradual curves are exactly what dashboards are bad at flagging. By the time the drop is obvious enough to notice by eye, you've usually been losing output for weeks already.
